A small Brooklyn cattery devoted to a single breed, and to doing right by it.
It's Jane here. We have raised British Shorthairs in our New York home since 2015, the slow way: a handful of carefully planned litters each year, every kitten reared inside the house, socialised against the ordinary noise of a family, and never placed before it is ready.
Our cats are never caged. They roam the house, share it with children and other animals, and arrive in their new homes already at ease with everyday life. Every pairing is chosen for temperament and health first, type second. Parents are genetically tested, kittens leave vaccinated, vet-checked and with pedigree papers in hand. When you visit, you will meet the parents too.

The parts we never stage
Not a photoshoot in sight: the pumpkin bed, the laundry basket, someone's wrist. This is how our British Shorthair kittens actually grow up, underfoot in a Brooklyn home.

Updated weekly. Prices are shown openly, and each kitten is reserved with a deposit after a conversation and a live video call, never on a first-come scramble.

Our cattery and every kitten is registered with TICA. Ask us for the registration details and verify them directly before you ever send a deposit; we expect you to.

Health tested to the bone
Parents are genetically tested and screened, kittens are vaccinated, dewormed and vet-checked before they leave. Records travel with your kitten.

A $500 deposit holds your kitten and is applied to the price. The contract is shared upfront, before any money moves.

Choosing a companion for the next fifteen years deserves more than a message thread. The consultation is a scheduled video call: you, Jane, and the cats, live from our Brooklyn home.
It is a working session, not a sales call. You will see the nursery as it is that day, ask anything, and hear honest answers, including, when it is true, that a British Shorthair is not the right cat for your home.
The fee keeps the hour unhurried and the calendar honest. Every dollar of it is credited toward your deposit should you reserve.
