How much does a British Shorthair kitten cost?
Every kitten's price is published openly on its own page; we never make you ask. Prices vary with colour and pedigree, and rarer colours such as golden and silver sit above blues. A $500 deposit reserves a kitten and is applied in full to the price.
How do I reserve a kitten?
You enquire, we talk, and you meet the kitten and its mother on a live video call from our home. Only after that call does a deposit hold your kitten. The contract is shared upfront, before any money moves, and we never reserve on a first-come scramble.
Will I see the kitten before paying anything?
Always, and you should refuse any breeder who says otherwise. A live, unedited video call with the kitten and its mother comes before any deposit is discussed. If you are in the New York area you are welcome to visit and meet the parents in person.
Are your cats health tested?
Yes. Both parents are genetically tested and screened before any pairing, and every kitten leaves vaccinated, dewormed and vet-checked, with records in hand and a written genetic health guarantee you can read in full before deciding.
When can my kitten come home?
At twelve weeks and up, never earlier. Those weeks with the mother and litter shape a confident, settled adult, and it is why our kittens arrive already at ease with household life. You receive weekly photos and video while you wait.
Do you deliver outside New York?
We place kittens across the United States. New York families usually collect in person in Brooklyn; for everyone else a vetted courier brings your kitten door to door, and the video updates continue until arrival day.
Are British Shorthairs hypoallergenic?
No cat truly is, and we will not tell you otherwise. British Shorthairs shed moderately from that dense coat. If allergies are a concern in your household, tell us in your enquiry and we will talk it through honestly before you fall for a kitten.
Are they good with children and other pets?
The breed is famously even-tempered, and our kittens are raised underfoot in a family home with children and other animals, so ordinary household life is nothing new to them. They prefer four feet on the ground to being carried, which suits families who respect that.
What comes with my kitten?
TICA registration and pedigree papers, vaccination and vet records, the written health guarantee, a starter kit with familiar food, and a blanket that smells of the mother. Plus a breeder who answers the phone for the life of your cat.
Do you sell breeding rights?
Our kittens are placed as companions, on a spay/neuter agreement, indoor-only and never declawed. We are a small closed cattery and do not place breeding cats.
